Nordvesthimmerlands Jagtforening har - om man så må sige - skudt genvej til et nyt klubhus, som borgmester Knud Kristensen i går åbnede sammen med landsformand for Danmarks Jægerforbund, Ole Roed Jakobsen.
For halvandet år siden blev de 6 jagtforeninger i Løgstør, Strandby, Overlade, Flejsborg, Farsø og Vester Hornum lagt sammen til Nordvesthimmerlands Jagtforening med flugtskydebanen og et noget slidt klubhus i Flejsborg som et vigtigt samlingssted.
Nu er det gamle klubhus fjernet og erstattet af et helt nyt. Det blev officielt indviet i går, hvor borgmester Knud Kristensen og Ole Roed Jakobsen klippede den røde snor.
Det var en festdag i foreningen, hvor Dannebrog blev hejst til tonerne af jagthornblæsere, og mange af foreningens 360 medlemmer var mødt op, hvilket gav rift om parkeringspladserne. En festdag, som egentlig kom tidligere end ventet.
"Det var slet ikke meningen, at vi skulle bygge nu, men da vi fik muligheden for at få bygget til en fornuftig pris, slog vi til, " sagde foreningens formand, Henrik Pedersen, i en kort tale ved indvielsen.
Den enes død...
Det nye klubhus er et modulbyggeri fremstillet af Scandi Byg i Løgstør. Byggeriet var bestilt af et sjællandsk firma, der imidlertid gik konkurs inden leveringen. Nordvesthimmerlands Jagtforening var vaks ved havelågen og købte de 265 kvadratmeter til 400.000 kroner, hvilket er væsentlig under den oprindelige pris på 2,6 millioner kroner.
Både Henrik Pedersen, Ole Roed Jakobsen og Knud Kristensen holdt taler, og de hyldede alle 3 de frivillige mennesker, der har taget del i arbejdet med det nye klubhus.
Efter selve indvielsen blev der afholdt flugtskydningskonkurrence mellem landsformanden og borgmesteren, der også selv er habil jæger. Knud Kristensen måtte dog se sig slået knebent, idet han ramte 13 lerduer, mens Ole Roed Jakobsen havde 14 træffere.
I alt var der mødt omkring 180 mennesker op til indvielsen, hvor jagtforeningen var vært ved en frokostbuffet.
